I do not remember taking this, and so I believe that Dave Doran may have taken this photo, late 1967 or early 1968.

11th Co Cpt Koo & Larry Gray

During the brief time I was with 11th Co, probably just before they left the Tra Binh Dong location and went to Chu Lai to board a troop ship to move north to Da Nang and then by truck to the Hoi An area.

 

11th Co, Binh Son, Mr Lee So Ho  

My memory is less than perfect, but this is what I think.  I believe that this is Mr. Lee So Ho who I met at 11th Co in December 1967.  He was a very friendly Marine who spoke English and who wanted to attend college in the United States some day in the future.

Hand salute to Mr. Lee, I hope your dreams have been realized.

Dave is holding a smoke grenade with a story behind it.  Lt. Cho has a can of Falstaff beer.  Larry has a can of potato sticks.
