Republic of Korea Marines Gunnery Sgt. Kim and Cpl. Lee operate an unmanned aerial vehicle performing air surveillance and reconnaissance during routine operations at the ROK Provincial Reconstruction Team Forward Operating Base in Parwan province, Afghanistan, Jan. 27. The ROK PRT works to extend the reach and enhance the legitimacy of the Afghan government throughout the province, focusing on empowering Parwan government officials in functional areas such as Rule of Law, building sustainable infrastructure and providing professional skills to the local Afghan population used to generate independent household incomes.
